Кадровой директор Intel Кристи Памбианки разослал сотрудникам компании служебное письмо, в котором говорится о крайнем сроке прохождения вакцинации — 4 января. В случае отказа от прививки работники должны получить освобождение от неё по медицинским или религиозным причинам. Об этом пишут Associated Press и The Oregonian.
Если сотрудники не предоставят медотвод или отказ от прививки по иным причинам, то их отправят в неоплачиваемый отпуск с 4 апреля. Он продлится не менее трёх месяцев. При этом такие работники каждую неделю должны будут сдавать тесты на коронавирус, даже если работают удалённо.
The Oregonian отмечает, что Intel в своём решении ссылается на указ правительства США, который обязывает федеральных подрядчиков прививать сотрудников. Это требование касается компаний с более чем 100 работниками в штате.
Однако в штатах Джорджия и Луизиана приостановили указ после совместного иска компаний и религиозных соообществ. По их мнению, такое требование нарушает Конституцию США. Правительство в свою очередь подало апелляцию на решения федеральных судов в этих двух штатах.
Как рассказали в Intel, компания оставит своё решение без изменений, пока правовые вопросы не будут урегулированы. «Мы внимательно следим за ситуацией в Луизиане и Джорджии. Мы ожидаем, что потребуется время для урегулирования подобных дел и полного их разрешения», — заявили в Intel.
